The #1 course you'll need to make your move (and transition!) to Medellín easier, faster, and cheaper!

This transformational course will guide you step-by-step to making your international move QUICK and EASY and your transition SEAMLESS and ENJOYABLE so that you can achieve the dream life you've imagined for yourself in Colombia! 🇨🇴

¡Hola! 👋🏻

My name is Lauren and I'll be your instructor.

After just the first day of visiting Medellín back in 2015 when I was studying abroad in Peru, I knew that I wanted to live here. Originally I'm from Omaha, Nebraska, but from a young age I knew I needed to get out to see the world and becoming bilingual was a big part of that as well. Medellín certainly caught me by surprise, but moving here all by myself with no family or friends was a huge challenge and a big change, EVEN if I was already fluent in Spanish and had experience living in Latin America. This is the course I wish I had when I first came here over 7 years ago. I've made ALL the mistakes, so you guys don't have to. 😉 From an experienced expat to a future one, I guarantee you this course will pay for itself in all the time and money you will spend. 🙌🏼

If I, Nebraska-native, single American expat girl can make a move to Medellín at 22 with no help, contacts or knowledge, YOU certainly can with the help of my course!

That's me on my very first trip to the city back in 2015. 👇🏼

My story is not a very common one. I became enamored with Spanish and the Latin culture when I was about 13. Come high school, I began studying it more, looked for ways to interact with more Latinos, and finally visited Latin America for the first time when I was 17. That was 10 years ago, and since then, I have spent a summer in El Salvador (2014), a year abroad in Lima (2015-2016), and now 6 years permanently in Medellín, Colombia.

Why did I choose to live in Medellín?

I personally knew I wanted to have an abroad living experience during my 20s and Medellín checked off ALL my boxes. The reason I've stayed in Medellín all this time?

Because Medellín is truly the city of my dreams!

And I don’t say that because I think that Medellín is a paradise. I say this because this city allows me to live a higher quality of life than what I’d be able to achieve in my own home country. I live SO well here. I have so many opportunities here. The quality of life for expats in Medellín is astounding:

👉🏼  I can get fresh produce and meat with no preservatives.
👉🏼  I can go on a peaceful nature walk to a waterfall just 20 minutes away.

👉🏼  I can afford a personal trainer, a vocal coach, and a maid.
👉🏼  I can eat out for half my meals without breaking the bank.
👉🏼  I can fly in-country to the beach, the desert, or the rainforest.

There are SO many great things about living in Medellín that it makes it hard to ever want to go back to the States! 😂

But maybe more importantly… it is because of these opportunities and the high quality of life that I enjoy here that I feel that I am closer to being the best version of myself. Medellín absolutely has its ugly parts, and the life of an expat comes with many challenges, but at the end of the day...

I am blessed to be living in such a place where I can be free, at peace, healthy, and well. And that to me, yes, is a kind of paradise.

But moving to another country is no walk in the park - ESPECIALLY if you don't speak the local language!

You're bound to make a lot of mistakes if you go about it on your own - mistakes that will cost you TIME ⏰ and MONEY 🤑! And rather than potentially spend months trying to figure it all out on your own...

Wouldn’t you rather have someone more experienced, who’s been there and done that, to tell you what to do and what not to do?

Having me as your expert expat guide in this course is the best way you can ensure a SUCCESSFUL relocation to Medellín.

My goal is for you to go from feeling...

overwhelmed     ➡️     stress-free

LOST     ➡️     well-oriented

confused     ➡️     knowledgeable

like an outsider     ➡️     at-home

alone     ➡️     supported

  • Does this course apply to Colombia at large or just Medellín?

While the course is specifically designed for individuals looking to move to Medellín, over half of the content can actually be applied to Colombia at large (visas, taxes, health insurance, how the housing market works, how to access your money, how to set up a phone plan, managing the Spanish language, cultural training, etc.) New materials and resources will also increasingly be added over time to include other popular expat cities of Colombia.
